Essex Cornerstone Club is proud to celebrate the successful completion of a fundraising run organised through the Cornerstone Fitness Group, with Chairman Paul “PJ” Williams and Adam Harvey crossing the finish line together in an impressive 55 minutes a personal best for PJ and a fantastic team achievement.

Originally set as a personal challenge to break the one-hour mark, the event quickly became a shared Cornerstone effort reflecting the fellowship, encouragement and teamwork that sit at the heart of the Club.
Adam Harvey set a phenomenal pace throughout, acting as both pacemaker and motivator, ensuring a steady rhythm across the course and driving the final push to the finish line. With supporters positioned at various points around the route offering encouragement, the atmosphere carried both runners through the closing stages including a determined final sprint to the line.

The result was a personal milestone and, more importantly, a fundraising total of over £1,500 including Gift Aid.
Funds raised will support the Essex Cornerstone Foundation as part of the wider £10,000 for 10 Years challenge, marking the Club’s 10th anniversary year.
A special thank you must also go to Chris Hayden and the team at HaydensLCE, a family-run laser cutting and engraving studio based in Essex, who kindly created a bespoke commemorative medal to mark the occasion. Their support highlights the strong community backing behind Cornerstone’s charitable efforts.
This event demonstrates how the Cornerstone Fitness Group continues to bring members together beyond the Lodge room combining wellbeing, friendship and charity in true Cornerstone style.
We thank everyone who donated, supported and cheered along the way. The journey continues.
