In 2026, Cornerstone celebrates 10 years since its founding.
To mark this milestone, the entire Cornerstone family — the Essex Cornerstone Club, Essex Cornerstone Lodge No. 9968, and Essex Cornerstone Chapter No. 9968 — has taken on a shared anniversary challenge:
£10,000 for 10 Years
This isn’t about bringing separate groups together — we are already one Cornerstone family.
This is simply the challenge we have chosen to take on together.
Over the course of our tenth anniversary year, we aim to raise £10,000 in support of the Essex Cornerstone Foundation, helping people under 40 suffering from ill health through practical grants, essential items, and meaningful support.
Ten years ago, Cornerstone was created to connect younger Freemasons across Essex, retain and inspire members, promote charity and community, and support the wider Province.
A decade on, that purpose remains — but our ambition has grown.
A Year of Challenges
Throughout 2026, members will take part in a series of fundraising challenges, social competitions, sporting efforts and collaborative events. Some will test endurance. Some will test skill. Some may simply test courage.
Every event, every effort, every pound raised contributes toward the £10,000 target.
This is about celebrating ten years not just with words — but with action.
Why It Matters
The Essex Cornerstone Foundation exists to relieve the needs of those under 40 who are experiencing physical or mental ill health. From essential homeless packs to targeted support for individuals and charities, the Foundation delivers practical help where it is needed most.
