Essex Cornerstone Club Hosts Fun-Filled Picnic at Lake Meadows

On July 27, the Essex Cornerstone Club gathered at Lake Meadows in Billericay for their annual picnic, an event that brought together not only club members but also their families for a day brimming with fun and camaraderie. The Essex Cornerstone Club, known for fostering community spirit and friendship among Freemasons under 40, saw its members bonding in new and exciting ways outside of their usual meetings.

The picnic featured a variety of games, where members, known for their strong sense of brotherhood, showed their competitive sides in friendly yet spirited contests. The Badminton competition was particularly energetic, with many members teaming up and cheering each other on from the sidelines. Swingball and Bowling were also popular, with members competing alongside their children and partners, making it a truly family-centered affair.

Inflatable Horse Racers and Bumper Rings had everyone in fits of laughter as members, often seen in their more formal Masonic roles, embraced the silliness and joy of the day. Giant Ludo became a favorite, as teams of club members and their families strategized and joked through the oversized game board.

Beyond the games, the picnic offered the chance for members to reconnect and strengthen their bonds. Newer members found themselves welcomed with open arms, while long-standing members shared stories and advice in the spirit of mentorship. With laughter, food, and a shared sense of belonging, the Essex Cornerstone Club’s picnic was a reminder of the lasting friendships and community that the club provides.
