A Slice of Cornerstone: Pizza Night in Chelmsford

A recent Cornerstone Social saw members of the Essex Cornerstone Club come together for a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening at Moto Pizza, making the most of its popular all-you-can-eat pizza offering.

Set in the heart of Chelmsford, Moto Pizza provided the perfect informal setting for one of Cornerstone’s trademark socials. With a steady stream of freshly made pizzas arriving at the table, the evening quickly settled into an easy rhythm of conversation, laughter, and friendly debate over favourite toppings. From classic margheritas to more adventurous flavour combinations, there was something for everyone, and no danger of anyone leaving hungry.

As always, the focus of the evening was on fellowship. Members from different Lodges mixed freely, welcoming newer faces and catching up with friends in an environment that encouraged relaxed conversation away from the Lodge room. The all-you-can-eat format worked brilliantly, keeping the evening light-hearted and social, with plenty of opportunities to move around the table and chat with different people.

What made the night particularly enjoyable was its simplicity. There was no formal agenda or structure, just good food, good company, and the shared Cornerstone ethos of bringing Freemasons under 40 together in welcoming, accessible settings. It was exactly the kind of social that fits easily around busy lives while still strengthening bonds and building friendships.

The Moto Pizza social was a great reminder that some of the best Cornerstone events are built around simple ideas done well. With full stomachs, plenty of laughs, and plans already being discussed for future socials, it proved once again that food and fellowship are a winning combination for Essex Cornerstone. 🍕
