On Friday, 27th September, the Essex Cornerstone Club hosted its highly anticipated annual Curry Night in the vibrant heart of Brick Lane. The evening kicked off at the historic Woodin’s Shades pub, where members gathered for drinks and a great catch-up in the lively atmosphere. The anticipation for the evening ahead was palpable as everyone enjoyed some pre-dinner banter, setting the perfect tone for the night.
After a round of drinks, the group took a short walk through the bustling streets to Brick Lane, renowned for its world-class curry houses. The chosen restaurant did not disappoint, serving up a mouth-watering array of dishes, from rich, spicy curries to milder options, ensuring there was something for everyone. The evening was filled with laughter, stories, and, of course, excellent food.
But the night didn’t end there. After enjoying the feast, the group strolled over to the iconic Dirty Dicks pub, where the festivities continued. The traditional post-curry drinks brought the event to a close in true Cornerstone style—filled with camaraderie and great memories.
The Annual Curry Night remains a highlight on the Essex Cornerstone calendar, and this year was no exception. It was an evening of good food, great company, and plenty of fun—truly capturing the spirit of the Club. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
